IRSA releases 39,221 cusecs water from various rim stations

ISLAMABAD: The Indus River System Authority (IRSA) on Monday released 39,221 cusecs water for various rim stations with inflow of 39,861 cusecs.

According to the data released by IRSA, water level in the Indus River at Tarbela Dam was 1469.10 feet, which was 89.10 feet higher than its dead level 1378 feet. Water inflow in the dam was recorded as 17,400 cusecs and outflow 12,000 cusecs.

The water level in Jhelum River at Mangla dam was 1172.60 feet, which was 132.60 feet higher than its dead level of 1040 feet whereas the inflow and outflow of water was recorded as 6,826 cusecs and 11,988 cusecs respectively.

The release of water at Kalabagh, Taunsa and Sukkur was recorded as 27,579, 34,355 and 27,345 cusecs respectively.

Similarly, from the Kabul River a total of 9,000 cusecs of water was released at Nowshera and 6,635 cusecs released from the Chenab River at Marala.
