Chinese delegation meets Hamza Shahbaz

LAHORE: A six-member Chinese delegation led by Mr Chen Fengxiang, Vice Minister of the Communist Party of China (CPC), called on MNA Hamza Shahbaz Sharif here at the main party secretariat on Sunday.

Hamza Shahbaz Sharif welcomed the delegation and highlighted that terrorism in all its manifestation shall be rooted out from the soil of Pakistan and a decisive military action was underway.

He also mentioned that Pak-China time-tested friendship would get a more meaningful expression after Economic Corridor became a realization in coming times ahead.

Hamza informed that the PML-N government had taken solid initiatives to economically empower the young population of Pakistan.

The Punjab government was also implementing various programmes such as provision of small business loans, agri land and tractors on instalments to the youth so as to provide them opportunities to be self reliant and not to be misled by extremists.

He said China was a role model for Pakistan with regard to its speedy development and the government was also striving for progress and prosperity of the masses.

The vice minister extended condolences on the tragic incident of terrorism in Peshawar and expressed sympathy for the aggrieved families.

The visiting vice minister mentioned that among 106 countries, which had over 600 political parties, CPC shares a special bond with the PML-N.

The delegates agreed on continued cooperation and to have more institutionalized exchanges between the members of both the parties so that they could mutually benefit from experiences of each other.
