Talking to a private news channel, she said presence of the country's top political leadership, including Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, at the APC in Peshawar showed the determination of the government to eliminate terrorists.
Marvi said that the nation wanted a strict and exemplary action against the culprits behind the Peshawar tragedy. All the political parties were on one page to deal with the terrorists with an iron hand.
She said all the decisions taken at the APC regarding uprooting terrorism and extremism would be implemented at the earliest.
To a question, she said that the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz government and the military leadership were very clear about the action plan against the militants and the ongoing operation Zarb-e-Azab was part of it. The operation, she said, had been very successful and was now heading towards its conclusion.
Replying to another query, Marvi said it was the responsibility of both provincial and federal governments to bravely face militants' reaction to the ongoing military operation.
She said the terrorists had crossed all limits of barbarism and brutality in Peshawar school massacre and hoped that it would be a turning point to get rid of the menace of terrorism.
Marvi expressed the hope that religious leadership would also come forward with the same spirit exhibited by the politicians, setting aside their differences.
