IRSA releases 105,763 cusecs water from various rim stations

ISLAMABAD: The Indus River System Authority (IRSA) on Tuesday released 105,763 cusecs water for various rim stations with inflow of 49,077 cusecs.

According to the data released by IRSA, water level in the Indus River at Tarbela Dam was 1475.23 feet, which was 95.23 feet higher than its dead level 1378 feet. Water inflow in the dam was recorded as 21,300 cusecs and outflow 45,000 cusecs.

The water level in Jhelum River at Mangla dam was 1182.80 feet, which was 142.80 feet higher than its dead level of 1040 feet whereas the inflow and outflow of water was recorded as 12,014 cusecs and 45,000 cusecs respectively.

The release of water at Kalabagh, Taunsa and Sukkur was recorded as 53,360, 29,376 and 31,650 cusecs respectively.

Similarly, from the Kabul River a total of 8,950 cusecs of water was released at Nowshera and 6,813 cusecs released from the Chenab River at Marala.
