IRSA releases 95,748 cusecs water from various rim stations

ISLAMABAD: The Indus River System Authority (IRSA) on Tuesday released 95,748 cusecs water for various rim stations with inflow of 45,762 cusecs.

According to the data released by IRSA, water level in the Indus River at Tarbela Dam was 1476.31 feet, which was 96.31 feet higher than its dead level 1378 feet. Water inflow in the dam was recorded as 18,000 cusecs and outflow 35,000 cusecs.

The water level in Jhelum River at Mangla dam was 1184.05 feet, which was 144.05 feet higher than its dead level of 1040 feet whereas the inflow and outflow of water was recorded as 12,014 cusecs and 45,000 cusecs respectively.

The release of water at Kalabagh, Taunsa and Sukkur was recorded as 58,785, 29,376 and 32,590 cusecs respectively.

Similarly, from the Kabul River a total of 8,690 cusecs of water was released at Nowshera and 7,058 cusecs released from the Chenab River at Marala.
