IRSA releases 93,211 cusecs water from various rim stations

ISLAMABAD: The Indus River System Authority (IRSA) on Monday released 93,211 cusecs water for various rim stations with inflow of 46,847 cusecs.

According to the data released by IRSA, water level in the Indus River at Tarbela Dam was 1477.09 feet, which was 97.09 feet higher than its dead level 1378 feet. Water inflow in the dam was recorded as 20,300 cusecs and outflow 35,000 cusecs.

The water level in Jhelum River at Mangla dam was 1185.30 feet, which was 145.30 feet higher than its dead level of 1040 feet whereas the inflow and outflow of water was recorded as 10,334 cusecs and 42,000 cusecs respectively.

The release of water at Kalabagh, Taunsa and Sukkur was recorded as 60,682, 29,376 and 32,675 cusecs respectively.

Similarly, from the Kabul River a total of 9,000 cusecs of water was released at Nowshera and 7,213 cusecs released from the Chenab River at Marala.
