IRSA releases 82,851 cusecs water from various rim stations

ISLAMABAD: The Indus River System Authority (IRSA) on Saturday released 82,851 cusecs water for various rim stations with inflow of 43,765 cusecs.

According to the data released by IRSA, water level in the Indus River at Tarbela Dam was 1478.85 feet, which was 98.85 feet higher than its dead level 1378 feet. Water inflow in the dam was recorded as 18,900 cusecs and outflow 25,000 cusecs.

The water level in Jhelum River at Mangla dam was 1188.40 feet, which was 148.40 feet higher than its dead level of 1040 feet whereas the inflow and outflow of water was recorded as 9,014 cusecs and 42,000 cusecs respectively.

The release of water at Kalabagh, Taunsa and Sukkur was recorded as 47,475, 37,204 and 33,760 cusecs respectively.

Similarly, from the Kabul River a total of 8,400 cusecs of water was released at Nowshera and 7,451 cusecs released from the Chenab River at Marala.
