ITP all set to launch campaign against mobile use during

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) is all set to launch an awareness campaign to educate the general public and road users against the use of mobile while driving.

Talking to APP on Friday, an official of Islamabad Traffic Police said a new section of law i.e. 48 (ii) has been added in the Motor Vehicle Ordinance 1965 for taking legal action against the use of mobile phone while driving.

Replying to a question, he said a special squad has been established to control the use of mobile phone while driving.

He said people should cooperate with the Islamabad Traffic Police and avoid use of mobile phone during the driving for the safety.

To another question, he said Islamabad Traffic Police is working for the protection of citizen and the awareness campaign against use of mobile while driving would help stop the road accident.
