The approval was given on a summary initiated by Establishment Division and the resignation of the BISP chairman was accepted with effect from 25.11.2014, said a press release here on Tuesday.
Meanwhile on a summary initiated by Cabinet Division, the President also approved the advice of Prime Minister for conferment of `Sitara-i-Imtiaz' on Bashir Dawood in recognition of his social services to the country.
On another summary initiated by the Ministry of Law, Justice and Human Rights, the President approved the advice of the Prime Minister for appointment of Justice Manzoor Ahmad Malik, Senior Puisne Judge of the Lahore High Court, to act as Chief Justice of Lahore High Court (LHC) with effect from December 11-17.
LHC Chief Justice Khawaja Imtiaz Ahmad will participate in the 4th ASEAN Chief Justices` Roundtable on Environmental Justice being held from December 12-14 at Hanoi, Vietnam, in collaboration with the Supreme People's Court of Vietnam. He is scheduled to leave on Dec 11 and will return on Dec 17.
