05 Dec, 2014

CHAKDARA: Advisor to Prime Minister, Amir Muqam Friday said that Imran Khan betrayed confidence of the Pukhtuns by insulting their mandate and pushing them towards backwardness in their eighteen months rule in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Addressing party workers convention here at Ouch, he said, the PTI Chief pushed the country towards economic quagmire by giving deadline after deadline for the dismissal of the present democratic government which all proved wrong.

The PML-N leader said that he challenged his claims about provision of free education and health facilities in the province to the deserving people, adding he (Imran) made the resignation issue a joke.

The government was ready to hold by polls on the seat vacated by the PTI legislators but they were not sincere in quitting the national assembly.

The PTI has to wait for the next general elections to be held in 2018.

The KP Chief Minister, he said should fight for the rights of the province instead of involving himself in container politics.

He said the PML-N government started mega projects including construction of Lawari tunnel.

He told that construction work on Timergara-Chakdara would start soon. Earlier Amir Muqam visited the residence of late journalist Ihsanullah Qureshi who died in a road accident and gave Rs 50,000 from his pocket for the welfare of his family.

He promised to get more financial assistance from the Prime Minister for the bereaved family.
