2nd phase of Easaar-e-KP Programme for North Waziristan launched

PESHAWAR: The second phase of Esaar e Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Programme for assistance of temporarily displaced people (TDP) of North Waziristan Agency have been launched by the Provincial Government according to which Rs 6000 would be paid to each verified TDP to help them in this hour of need.

According to PDMA, following successful completion of the first phase, a second phase of Esaar e KP has been launched on November 24 last month and an amount of Rs 6000 would be paid to each verified displaced person of North Waziristan under a transparent mechanism.

In the second phase, as many as 274.37million have been disbursed among 43,072 verified families till today.

In the first phase of Esaar-e-Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 57,706 families of North Waziristan Agency have received their cash payment of 1st Installment @ Rs.8000 and a total of Rs.449.18 millions have been so far disbursed.

All the registered verified families would be provided with Rs.23,000/ (Ramadan Package Rs.5,000, Rs.3,000/- monthly house rent).

Provincial Emergency Operation Center (PEOC) has been established at PDMA-Khyber Pakhtunkhwa fully equipped with modern communication system that are serving as command and control center for pre, during and post disaster situation in the province.
