The single bench comprising Justice Shahzada Mazhar was hearing the petitions filed by Tariq and Haseeb Ullah.
Earlier, the petitioners' counsels questioning various sections of the PCB constitution submitted that the new constitution empowered board governing body to do delimitation of constituencies for elections. They alleged that the governing body usually misused the powers which was illegal.
They pleaded the court to withdraw the powers of delimitation of constituencies from governing body and Election Commission should be authorised for the purpose.
However, PCB's counsel Tuffazal Rizvi informed the court that the notification of July 7 regarding the PCB constitution had been considered by the apex court.
He said the Supreme Court on July 21 had directed the federal government for implementing the notification.
He further pointed out that the Islamabad High Court imposed a fine of Rs 4 million to four petitioners who had challenged the PCB constitution and concealed these facts.
At this, petitioner Tariq's counsel sought permission to withdraw the petition whereas Haseeb's counsel insisted to decide the matter.
After hearing the arguments, the court dismissed petitions and also imposed a fine of Rs. 100,000 on a petitioner.
