Completion of development projects to boost economic activities: President

ISLAMABAD: President Mamnoon Hussain on Thursday said economic activities would gain momentum after completion of developmental projects in the country.

The President expressed these view while talking to a delegation of Pakistan State Oil (PSO) led by its Managing Director, Amjad Pervez Janjua here at the Aiwan-e-Sadr.

The President said the government was taking measures for the betterment of masses despite several challenges it was confronting at present.

He said national economy had suffered because of mismanagement and irregularities in the past.

He stressed the need for eradication of corruption to create an environment where the economy could be strengthened.

The President said the confidence of foreign investors had increased with the launch of Pakistan's Sukuk bonds. He recommended following the model of China for national development and prosperity.

The President appreciated the contribution of PSO towards national economic development. He also felicitated the management and the team of PSO including its workers and staff for their commendable performance
