President lauds Red Crescent Society for invaluable services

ISLAMABAD: President Mamnoon Hussain on Tuesday highly lauded the Red Crescent Society of Pakistan for its invaluable services.

While chairing an Extra-Ordinary General Meeting of the Red Crescent Society here, the President called upon the Ministry of Finance to release the outstanding funds of the Society.

The President directed the Society to identity the problems in Balochistan and Gilgit Baltistan and help address those problems on priority.

The Society in this respect should also visit Balochistan and Gilgit Baltistan and hold meetings with the governors, he added.

The meeting accorded approval for the hiring of new audit firm for the Society as well as the names of new managing committee.

The meeting was attended by Governor Balochistan, Muhammad Khan Achakzai, Governor Gilgit Baltistan, Pir Karam Ali Shah, Chairman Red Crescent Society, Dr. Saeed Elahi, Central Chairmen of all the four provinces and senior federal government officers.
