IGP orders for smooth traffic flow, strict security during IDEAS 2014

KARACHI: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Sindh has directed the officials to take effective measures for smooth traffic flow in the metropolis during IDEAS 2014 exhibition at Expo Centre here.

He also ordered to strengthen the security during the exhibition which will be held from December 1 to 4, said a statement on Tuesday.

The companies from Pakistan, France, Germany, Italy, Cyprus, Portugal, Turkey, Britain and other countries will exhibit their Defence products and modern security equipments.

The police chief directed the officials to have meeting with organizers of exhibition and to make a proper list of foreign delegates, so that their security could be made more effective.

Jamali ordered to depute the personnel in uniform and plain dress as well, inside and around the expo centre. He said all the Station House officers will themselves supervise the police picketing, patrolling, snap checking and other security measures while all the Section officers will ensure smooth traffic flow in their concerned jurisdictions.
