Obama praised the 18 artists, activists and politicians receiving ‘Presidential Medal of Freedom’ at a White House ceremony on Monday. While honouring the American actress with the ‘Presidential Medal of Freedom’ he confessed openly that he loves her.

He said, “I love Meryl Streep. Her husband knows I love her. Michelle knows I love her. There’s nothing they can do about it”.

Other recipients of the Presidential Medal of Freedom included Stevie Wonder (singer), Ethel Kennedy (American Socialite), Marlo Thomas (American actress/socialite) and Tom Brokaw (TV journalist) among others.

The ‘Presidential Medal of Freedom’ is an award bestowed by the President of the United States; it’s the highest civilian award within the country. It recognizes those individuals who have made commendable contribution to the security or national interests of the United States, world peace, culture and arts.
