IDEAS-2014 to boost economic progress

KARACHI: The IDEAS-2014 will help boost economic progress as new orders other than the traditional ones are expected to be received owing to a higher number of delegates participating in the event from African countries this time.

In a meeting with Sindh Governor Dr. Ishratul Ebad Khan at the Governor House here on Monday, a delegation of the IDEAS-2014 organisers also said that the event to be organised between December 02 and 04, will promote not only the defence production and industries, but also provide an opportunity to introduce other major industries from all the four provinces.

The Sindh Governor said that the IDEAS-2014 will prove to be an important event to highlight opportunities to the world.

He said that this event will provide an opportunity to show to the world the progress and business opportunities available in the country.

Dr. Ishratul Ebad further said that IDEAS-2014 will help the foreign delegates to understand Pakistani public and dispel the negative impression about the country.

He said that this event launched in 2000 has now become Pakistan's identity. He added that on every occasion, Pakistan got orders for defence equipment and its associated products, while other industries also benefitted from this exhibition.

He said that the IDEAS also helped find new markets in the countries where Pakistan's trade was low.
