PM expected to lay foundation stone of Hazara Motorway next week

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif is expected to perform ground-breaking ceremony of Hazara Motorway project on November 29.

A 60-kilometre Hazara Motorway will be constructed at a cost of Rs 31 billion. The four-lane road will be a part of Pak-China Economic Corridor agreement and it will reduce 30 minutes of drive time from Islamabad to Havelian.

Under the agreement, a Dry Port will also be constructed at Havelian. After the completion, the project would usher in a new era of development in the region besides providing job opportunities to hundreds of thousands of people.
