IRSA releases 134,495 cusecs water from various rim stations

ISLAMABAD: The Indus River System Authority (IRSA) Friday released 134,495 cusecs water for various rim stations with inflow of 53,495 cusecs.

According to the data released by IRSA, water level in the Indus River at Tarbela Dam was 1498.45 feet, which was 118.45 feet higher than its dead level 1378 feet.

Water inflow in the dam was recorded as 26,400 cusecs while outflow was recorded as 60,000 cusecs.

The water level in the Jhelum River at Mangla Dam was 1212.75 feet, which was 172.75 feet higher than its dead level of 1040 feet whereas the inflow and outflow of water was recorded as 7,574 cusecs and 55,000 cusecs respectively.

The release of water at Kalabagh, Taunsa and Sukkur was recorded as 73,936, 58,537 and 35,712 cusecs respectively.

Similarly, from the Kabul River a total of 10,400 cusecs of water was released at Nowshera and 9,095 cusecs released from the Chenab River at Marala.
