As source revealed that the film will be directed by Hany Abu-Assad, the Fox 2000 and Chernin Entertainment. It is an adaptation of the ‘Charles Martin’ book, the film is about two people who fall in love while struggling to survive in the wasteland after a plane crash.

Hunnam will play Dr. Ben Payne, an emotionally wounded surgeon and mountain climber. While, Pike will take on the role of Ashley Knox, described on the book’s website as ‘a successful, attractive writer’, media reported.

The story is about Ashley, who is a writer catching a flight from Salt Lake City and heading east for her wedding. Ben is a doctor returning from a medical conference. When their flight is cancelled due to a broken de-icer, the strangers agree to charter a ride, only to see the pilot suffer a heart attack and crash into a desolate snowy mountain region. He breaks ribs and she suffers a leg fracture.

Rosamund was last seen in the hit film ‘Gone Girl’ opposite to Ben Affleck which has grossed $152 million domestically. Her next movie will go on floor by the end of 2015.
