Prime Minister inaugurates 26 development projects of Rs3.71bn in AJK

MUZAFFARABAD: Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif Thursday inaugurated 26 development projects of education, health and basic infrastructure worth Rs3.71 billion in Azad Jammu and Kashmir.

The Prime Minister was visiting AJK to address the 50th session of AJK Council where he also distributed cheques to financially assist the quake-hit people of Azad Kashmir.

Chairman Earthquake Reconstruction and Rehabilitation Authority briefed the Prime Minister about the ongoing projects in the quake-hit areas of the AJK.

The Prime Minister was apprised that 16 colleges have been constructed in various AJK districts with the cooperation from Kuwaiti government. Five projects of basic infrastructure have been executed with the Chinese assistance.

Moreover, the construction of five high schools has also been completed in the area with the cooperation of federal government.
