According to hospital and police officials a roof and staircase of a multi-storey residential building collapsed in Burns Road area in the limits of the Arambagh police station, killing one person and leaving several others injured.
The dead and injured were shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi.
The police have started investigation into the incident.
