Change of guard ceremony held at Mazar-e-Iqbal

LAHORE: A smartly turned out contingent of Pakistan Navy assumed guard duties here Sunday at the Mazar-e-Iqbal on the occasion of 137th birth anniversary of Dr. Allama Muhammad Iqbal, poet of the East.

Chief guest Navy Station Commander Lahore S.M Shahzad inspected the guard of honor and laid floral wreath at the mazar and also offered Fateha. Meanwhile, Governor Punjab Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar, DG Rangers Punjab Tahir Javed, a delegation of Pakistan Muslim League-N led by MNA Pervaiz Malik, Advisor on Health to CM, Khwaja Salman Rafique, DCO Lahore Capt (r) Muhammad Usman also visited Mazar-e-Iqbal and laid floral wreath and offered Fateha.

They also recorded their impressions in the visitor book and paid rich tribute to the peot of East.

Senior civil and military officers, a large number of students and peoples from different walks of life were also present.
