ISLAMABAD: Ministry of Interior on Wednesday announced November 3 and 4 (Monday and Tuesday) will be observed as national holidays in the country on the occasion of 9th and 10th Muharram (Ashura).

A notification to this effect was issued in pursuance of a Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee announcement about commencement of the new Islamic year.
