LAHORE: Punjab Governor Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar on Wednesday welcomed Pakistan Awami Tehrik (PAT) step to end its sit-in at D-Chowk Islamabad, and termed it a sensible decision.

Talking to United Business Group (UBG) Chairman Iftikhar Ali Malik here, the governor said the PAT's decision would pave the way for political stability and subsequently strenthen the ecomony at all levels.

The governor also felicitated the UBG chairman on landslide victory of his group in the annual elections of all the chambers of commerce and industry across Pakistan.

Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar hoped that Federation of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) having an overwhelming majority of the United Businss Group (UBG) would continue to help boost the overall economic situation in Pakistan while coming up to the expectations of the business community at large.

The governor also congratulated newly elected presidents and officer-bearers of all chambers of commerce and industry.

The UBG chief said the entire business community hailed the winding up of PAT sit-in, saying it would help revive economic activities in the country.
