Sindh CM visits Abdullah Shah Ghazi's shrine

KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah Saturday visited the shrine of Abdullah Shah Ghazi in Clifton area to pay homage to the Sufi saint on the occasion of his annual Urs.

The Chief Minister laid flower wreath at the grave of the saint and offered Fateha. He also reviewed the progress of development works at the shrine, a spokesman of the Chief Minister House told the APP.

Sindh CM's Coordinator Muhammad Siddiq and Muzaffar Shijra were also present.

Muzaffar Shijra, the head of the shrine's administrative committee, briefed the Chief Minister on the ongoing development activities at the Mazar.

Talking to devotees at the shrine, the Chief Minister said that Sindh is the land of Sufis and saints who taught peace, love and brotherhood. He said that it is time the teachings of these saints are promoted.

Qaim Ali Shah said that the PPP government is promoting this message of love and humanity among the people as it has established a Sufi University in Bhit Shah.

He urged the intellectuals to actively support the government in this endeavour.
