Bilawal Bhutto Zardari visits flood hit areas

FAISALABAD: Pakistan Peoples Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Thursday visited the flood hit areas of district Chiniot.

He was welcomed by PPP local leaders and workers at helipad on his arrival. Former Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf, opposition leader in the National Assembly Syed Khursheed Shah, former federal ministers for information and broadcasting Qamar Zaman Kaira, Sherry Rehman, PPP Punjab president Mian Manzoor Wattoo, former opposition leader in Punjab Assembly Raja Riaz Ahmed, former Punjab finance minister Tanveer Ashraf Kaira, former federal minister Rana Farooq Saeed Khan, former Chairman PM inspection commission Malik NAwab Sher Waser were accompanied him.

Soon, after his arrival, he went to flood hit area Qila Langar. He visited flood victims in relief camps and inquired about their problems and distributed food packets among them.

Later, he visited Rajoa Saadat, Bhawana and Syeedi Basti areas where he was accorded a warm welcome by the people. They chanted slogan in favour of Shaheed Zulifqar Ali Bhutto, Shaheed Mohtrama Benazir Bhutto and Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.

In his brief address to flood victims, Bilwal Bhutto Zardari said that they would not left alone the flood victims in this hour of trial and all out efforts would be made for their complete rehabilitation.

Bilawal said that he would visit the devastated areas continuously till the complete rehabilitation of flood hit people.

He hoped that the government would ensure arrangements to cope with floods in future to save the lives and property as well as crops destroyed due to heavy floods.

Strict security arrangements were made on the arrival of PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardai.
