11 Sep, 2014

ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for SAFFRON Lt. Gen (R) Abdul Qadir Baloch Thursday said the intentions of both the parties should be fair while resolving an issue and the government's intention during the whole dialogue process was fair and transparent.

Talking to a private TV channel, he said the current political impasse could be resolved in a minute if the intentions were right.

The minister said 20 different points came under discussion during the whole process, of which, there was agreement over 18.

It was in the best interest of the country that the current political crisis be resolved as soon as possible, he underlined.

Baloch said the government had categorically declared that if it was proved that the elections were rigged then there would be no moral authority of the government to remain intact.

He said Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf thinks that the elections across the country were rigged except in KPK, which was the reason why they were not resigning from the provincial government.

Responding to a question, the minister said the government was of the view that sampling of constituencies, be examined, should be left with the Judicial Commission and that they may take samples from all over the country.

But, PTI wants to give selected constituencies to the Judicial Commission, he added.
