LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has asked Imran Khan that in view of loss of human lives and devastations due to flood in Punjab he should postpone music programmes or sit-ins in Islamabad.

Addressing a public meeting near Chiniot on Monday, the CM said that it was his desire to ask Imran Khan to postpone sit-in and accompany him for helping the people of Punjab in distress but he thought that this appeal will be of no use as that politicians who does not allow a chief minister of his own party to leave sit-in and share the grief of the families affected due to heavy rains in his provincial metropolis, therefore, such expectation from him is useless.

Responding to the remarks of an elderly man affected due to flood who was of the view that this flood is the result of telling lie by Tahirul Qadri on Holy Quran and the dance and music programme of Tehrik-e-Insaaf, he said that he does not totally agree to the stance of this elderly man but he personally does not like such music and dance in public meetings.

He advised Imran Khan not to be worried about the lesser number of people in sit-in and consider his request seriously.
