South Korea revised Q2 GDP up 0.5pc vs Q1

SEOUL: South Korea's economy grew a seasonally adjusted 0.5 percent in the second quarter from the previous three months, revised data from the central bank showed on Thursday, slightly lower than its earlier estimate.

On an annual basis, Asia's fourth-largest economy grew 3.5 percent in the April-June period, which was also down from the late July estimate, the revised Bank of Korea data showed.

The central bank estimated on July 24 the country's gross domestic product had expanded by a seasonally adjusted 0.6 percent during the April-June period on a quarterly basis and by 3.6 percent from a year ago.
