KARACHI: A National Accountability Court here on Friday convicted Pervaiz Qasim, ex-OG-III, United Bank Ltd, Karachi, for seven years rigorous imprisonment and a fine of Rs.10.35 million for fraudulent misappropriation of bank funds worth Rs.20 million.

The conviction was made under section 33-E of National Accountability Ordinance 1999, as land revenue arrears.

The case itself was pursued in accordance to reference number 6/2009 - State Vs Pervaiz Qasim, the former UBL officer of grade three.
