'New Judicial Year' opening ceremony of Supreme Court to be held on September 8

ISLAMABAD: New Judicial Year opening ceremony of the Supreme Court will be held on September 8 (Monday) with the end of the summer vacations.
The ceremony will be held at 9-30 am at Court Room No 1 in the Supreme Court building.

According to the scheduled programme, Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Nasir-Ul-Mulk, Attorny General for Pakistan Salman Butt, Vice Chairman Pakistan Bar Council and President Supreme Court Bar Association Kamran Murtaza will speak on the occasion.

Judges of the Supreme Court, Law Officers of the Federation and provinces and a large number of lawyers will attend the ceremony.

This ceremony is held annually on the opening of the New Judicial Year of the Supreme Court.

The objective of the ceremony is to make a determination for meeting the challenges faced by the Supreme Court and exchange views for planning it, improvement of the judiciary image, and better service of petitioners and increasing expectations of the civil society.
