ISLAMABAD: Chairman National Assembly's Standing Committee on Information and Broadcasting Marvi Memon has said that the leadership of both Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) should keep their word on not entering the Red Zone in the Federal Capital.

Talking to Pakistan Television, she said before entering the Capital, the two parties had made commitments that they would not enter the Red Zone.

She wondered as what PTI chief Imran Khan wanted to achieve or show by entering into the premises of Parliament House while leading his supporters.

It was not appropriate to use women and children as human shields, she added.

Marvi said the PTI supporters had started going back to their homes because of the controversial and unreasonable stance of Imran Khan.

She said committees had been constituted to initiate dialogue with the leadership of PTI and PAT and they should should show their willingness to hold talks.
