RAWALPINDI: Trade bodies here on Monday rejected Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan's call for civil disobedience.

Talking to APP, President Markazi Anjuman-e-Tajran Shahid Ghafoor Paracha said the call of civil disobedience is tantamount to undermine the country's economy and the step will increase lawlessness and poverty in the country.

He said that the speeches being delivered at the sit in of Imran Khan are not more than rhetoric and the difficulties being confronted by the masses needs just committed approach which is being followed by the incumbent government.

President Traders Action Committee Sharjeel Mir said Imran Khan's civil disobedience call is unjustified and does not have any support of the citizens particularly business community. The stock market, after long and inqlab marches has recorded billions of rupees losses.

Traders would not accept the PTI's controversial call as the traders are facing huge losses due to the strikes, long and inqlab marches, he added.
