Seven die in clash between Bugti tribes

RAJANPUR: Seven persons were killed and several other injured in firing between two Bugti tribes on Saturday morning in the area of Barro that lies along the Punjab-Balochistan border.

According to the sources, a minor dispute arose between two tribes of Bugti, one led by Chura, son of Thagani, and the other by Masha Allah, son of Dil Murad, of the tribal area of Rojhan Mazaari near the Barrah police station. Resultantly, seven people including Masha Allah, Sadiq, Bota and his two brothers died.

Firing between the two groups continued for several hours. Border Military Police, Punjab police and Rangers had to intervene to diffuse the situation.

According to the local people, a sense of fear prevailed in area. The law enforcement agencies of both provinces launched joint patrol to avoid any untoward situation.
