Training about risks in use of sub-standard CNG cylinders

KARACHI: Around 300 officials and personnel of traffic police and Motor Vehicle Examiners (MVEs) were imparted special training about the risks and danger involved in use of sub- standard CNG cylinders in the vehicles.

They were attending the three-day workshop organised keeping in view the incidents of CNG cylinder blasts, said a statement on Friday.

The training workshop was supervised by the Hydro Carbon Development Institute of Pakistan (HDIP).

Specified awareness about sub-standard CNG cylinder and dangers as well as losses in its use by the public and private transport was provided to the participants.

Addressing the concluding session of the workshop, DIG Traffic Police Karachi Dr Sain Rakhio Mirani directed the officials concerned to take strict action against use of sub-standard CNG cylinders in the vehicles so as to prevent the loss of lives and properties.

He said such workshops would also be organised in future to further develop and update the skills of traffic police.

SSPs Traffic Police of all districts of Karachi, SPs and DSPs of Motor Vehicle Examiners and HDIP staff were also present on the occasion.
