Mexico Congress gives final approval to energy reform

MEXICO CITY: Mexico's Senate voted Wednesday for the final legislation to implement a historic energy reform that will end the 75-year-old state oil monopoly and bring back foreign investment.

The Senate voted 78-26 for the last piece of legislation, which was already approved by the lower house of Congress and now goes to President Enrique Pena Nieto for his signature.
