RAWALPINDI: Convener Mah-e-Azadi Taqreebat and City President Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) Sardar Nasim on Friday launched a month-long Independence Day celebrations in Rawalpindi district by hoisting national flag at the Rawal Town Municipal Administration (RTMA) building here.

Addressing the flag-hoisting ceremony, he said the celebrations would continue till August 31 at local, town district, division, and provincial levels in line with the directives of the government to observe the Independence Month Celebrations in a befitting manner this year.

Administrator Rawal Town Talat Mehmud Gondal, a good number of people from different walks of life including PML-N party workers and RTMA employees attended the ceremony.

Meanwhile, the RTMA Administrator hoisted the national flag at Jinnah Hall, Potohar Town building in a simple but impressive ceremony.
