Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Irfanullah Khan Marwat had been declared successful from this seat and he was also parliamentary leader of his party in Sindh assembly.
His success was challenged by Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Abdul Rauf Siddiqui. However, the tribunal declaring the result of PS-114 null and void ordered re-election on this constituency.
