Projects underway to overcome energy crisis: Chairman WAPDA

ISLAMABAD: Chairman Water and Power Development Authority, Zafar Mahmood said on Wednesday that speedy completion of work on energy projects was underway to overcome the crisis.

He said government was implementing a comprehensive strategy to complete short and long term projects to increase production of electricity, Radio Pakistan reported.

He said an effective campaign was also in progress for stopping power pilferage and recovery of dues.

Chairman WAPDA said in the next eight to ten years 21,000 megawatts of electricity would be produced with the assistance of China.
