DG PDMA lauds Govt, Army for tireless efforts for settlement of IDPs

ISLAMABAD: Director General Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA), Tahir Orakzai Tuesday said that the government made great efforts for providing relief to the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs).

Talking to a private news channel, he lauded government for giving cash payment to the IDPs.

Tahir appreciated federal government, provincial governments, Army and Bannu District Administration for their tireless efforts for settlement of the IDPs.

The provision of cash payments to the IDPs is going on in an organized manner and there is coordination and cooperation in the process, he added.

He said that the cash payment is given to those families that are verified by NADRA.

To a question, he said nine thousand six hundred and sixty three displaced families have received first instalment of their cash assistance.

Each registered and verified IDP family will be provided twenty three thousand rupees by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government, he added.
