Govt believes in service to masses: Bukhari

LAHORE: PML-N Punjab Labour Wing Secretary General Syed Arshad Ali Bukhari has said the present government believes in the service of people and participation of the poor in the development process.

Talking to various labourers' delegations in his office on Wednesday, he said, dream of rapid progress and development could not be materialized without promotion of education and provision of modern health cover and in this regard the government had taken revolutionary measures. He said, an effective strategy had been adopted for poverty alleviation and resolving the problems of deprived segment of the society under which welfare programmes have been initiated throughout the province.

In view of rising unemployment, Bukhari said, a number of schemes had already been initiated under which soft term loans are being provided to skilled but jobless people.

He said, huge amount of Rs 2 billion have been earmarked for the welfare of working class.
