FARNBOROUGH: Qatar Airways has finalised a deal to buy 50 777-9X passenger planes from US group Boeing in a deal worth $18.9 billion (14 billion euros) at list prices, the pair announced on Wednesday.

Qatar has also agreed a commitment for 50 more of the long-haul US planes, which if exercised would bring the total value to $37.7 billion, the airline announced at the Farnborough airshow.
