SHC seeks replies on petition of Sindhi language teacher

KARACHI: The Sindh High Court (SHC) has directed chief secretary Sindh, secretary education & literacy department and accountant general Sindh to submit their respective replies on a petition of Sindhi language teacher against non-payment of salaries.

A division bench headed by Justice Muneeb Akhtar was hearing a petition filed by Naila, who sought court directives to relevant authorities for payment of salaries.

The petitioner submitted that she was appointed as Sindhi language teacher 18 months back after she was declared successful in written examination and interview. She said that since her appointment in August 2012 she was diligently performing her duty but she was deprived of her salaries for last 18 months.

The petitioner requested the court to direct authorities concerned to make payment salaries.
