Govt believes in public service: Hameeda

LAHORE: Punjab Women Development Minister Hameeda Waheed-ud-Din Monday said the PML-N government believed in serving the masses that was why it had launched many welfare projects.

Talking to a delegation of working women at her office here on Monday, she said Rs1.86 billion for women development projects would help resolve issues faced by women.

She said women were the 52 per cent of the country's population and the government would resolve their all problems.

She said five women hostels would be built in the current financial year while spade work on another five had already been completed.

The minister said the government would also establish 65 day care centres for children of working women during 2014-15.
