LAHORE: Lahore Chamber of Commerce & Industry on Tuesday urged the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) to direct the tax officials not to disturb un-necessarily the businessmen and industrialists for meeting thier revenue collection targets.

LCCI Acting President Mian Tariq Misbah said here that LCCI had received a number of complaints from their members that FBR officials were creating problems for industrial sector without serving them any notice, despite Federal Finance Minister and Punjab Chief Minister's clear direction to facilitate the business community.

He said that like all the leading economies, Pakistani business community should be given incentives to expedite economic activities, when the manufacturing sector was already passing through very critical times due energy shortage.

He assured that private sector was ready to supplement all government efforts aimed at revival of economic activities in the country.

Tariq Misbah also urged the Federal Finance Minister to take stock of the whole situation.
