Launch of Drug use in Pak survey report 2013

LAHORE: The provincial launch of 'Drug Use in Pakistan Survey 2013' will be organised here on Thursday by UN Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC).

The 'Drug Use in Pakistan Survey Report' is the result of a collaborative research effort between the Narcotics Control Division, Pakistan Bureau of Statistics, and UNODC.

According to UNODC, the survey has been aimed to provide baseline information on the prevalence and patterns of drug use among the population aged 15 to 64 in order to inform Government, civil society and private-sector organizations in designing and implementing effective prevention, treatment as well as care services across the country.

Khawaja Salman Rafique, Advisor to CM for health, government of Punjab would be chief guest on the occasion.
