Senate body vows to ensure extension of Poly-Clinic hospital

ISLAMABAD: Senate Standing Committee on Cabinet Secretariat Wednesday asked Capital Development Authority (CDA) to follow its directions and take action to ensure extension of Poly-Clinic hospital.

The committee meeting was held under the chairperson of Senator Kalsoom Parveen at Parliament House.

Senator Kalsoom Parveen said the committee had been working on issue of Poly-Clinic hospital from the 2005.

She said related departments and ministries had no objection and questioned why CDA was not interested in the extension of hospital.

Senator Kamal Ali Agha said CDA employees were not providing complete information about the project.

The committee held follow-up discussion on plot No.29 , G-9 Markaz and expressed dismay over the violation of CDA rules in its alloment, possession and issuance of No Objection Certificate(NoC) for construction on the same day of thedown payment.

The Member CDA informed the committee the plot was divided in two parts and said it was sold at Rs 48,00,000 adding that the plot was canceled in 1985.

The committee directed the CDA to submit a report of poly-clinic hospital expansion work and G-9 plot in 15 day to committee in next meeting.

The committee was attended by Senators Rubina Khalid, Baz Muhammad Khan, Haji Saif Ullah Khan Bangash , Kamal Ali Agha, Begum Najam Hameed and Eng. Muahammad Hamayun Khan Mandokhel.
