In a statement, he termed it an attack on freedom of press and said that a team of senior police officers has been assigned to investigate the matter and arrest of the culprits involved in the attack.
He also appealed to the people to pray for early recovery of Hamid Mir.
He also announced that Sindh government will bear all medical expenses of Hamid Mir.
