Seminar on counter-terrorism on Monday

ISLAMABAD: Center for Research and Security Studies will hold a seminar on `Rule of Law and Counter-Terrorism: Roles of Public and Private Sector' on Monday at 2.30 pm here at a local hotel.

The seminar is being held connection with the CRSS' ongoing campaign for advocacy and creating awareness for rule of law among the masses, said a news release issued here on Saturday.

The speakers from diverse backgrounds will include Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, Federal Minister for Interior, Ahmer Bilal Soofi, Expert on International Law and President Research Society of International Law, Toaha Qureshi, Chairman of Forum for International Relations Development FIRD, Dr Muhammad Shoaib Suddle, Criminal Justice, Counter Terrorism and Police Reforms Expert, Public Policy Analyst, Former Director General Intelligence Bureau and Imtiaz Gul, Executive Director, Center for Research and Security Studies.

The deliberations will attempt to explain the government's plans and actions in regard to counter-terrorism, legal challenges to countering terrorism, role of prosecution, police role in countering terror and the UK perspective on counter-radicalization and rule of law, besides CRSS project on rule of law.
